Mercedes-Benz Company has released the first pictures of the new S-class sedan’s interior. The car will officially debut on May 15.
We have already examined the completely “naked” body of the new Mercedes-Benz S-class sedan and its exterior design. We are also familiar with the equipment and technical characteristics of the new German flagship and the safety features it has to offer its VIP-passengers. The only thing we haven’t seen or known so far was the interior design of the car, until the official pictures of the new S-class appeared on the Internet. The new pictures let us take a fresh inside look at the S-class model and have an idea of what it is made of.
The first thing any driver of the new Mercedes sedan sees is the 12.3 inch color display that replaces the usual control panel. Another display is placed near the first one and has a Split View function that allows the driver and the front passenger to see different images at the same time.
Next thing you notice are the smooth lines and transitions, rounded corners and airflow vents, even the handles and buttons are now less conservative. The usual German austerity has disappeared completely but this doesn’t mean that new interior doesn’t have the solidity of the class. The new S-class sedan’s interior now resembles the more aristocratic British Bentley than a strict and sometimes ascetic German Mercedes.
As for the equipment package, the passengers of the new S-class sedan would be blown away by the luxurious ambient lighting; anatomical seats with ventilation and massage functions; heated armrests and door panels; rear folding tables; air conditioning system with special ionizer and perfume spray; expensive acoustic Burmester system; panoramic roof with Magic Vision Control glass, well, you have the idea. The optional package even includes the separated rear seats with retractable running boards and backs that diverge at an angle of 37/43.5 degrees.
Let us remind that the s-class sedan will officially debut on 15 May in Hamburg.
