What will you find in the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze? The small Chevy spied testing for cold weather in Sweden
The next-generation 2016 Chevrolet Cruze was caught dong the cold weather testing in Sweden by spy photographers. It is very much akin to the Buick Verano of a next generation, and the America-bound Cruze seems to be having high back side and a lower frontal nose. The shape cannot be described as it was under wraps but can imagine that either a Hyundai Elantra or a Dodge Dart is concealed under it.
You can determine that it is the Cruze, by its wheel centers and the grille spot where the bow tie will be going in. The vehicle, however, is not very hot but pleasant enough. Relying on what is visually appearing in front you can say that it is not going to set anyone or anything on fire. As we had already predicted, the car will be a fuel economy car which will be competing with the likes of the Ford Focus, Mazda 3 , the hot-selling Toyota Corolla and the Honda Civic.
It is based on the smaller platform of D2XX from GM which is also shared by the Opel Astra, Buick Verano, and Chevrolet Equinox. It is reported that the new Chevy will be lighter than its present form. What we have observed from the photos it is has a hood which tapers down and rest just above the fender, which results into a brow where headlamps will be rested.
The Powertrain chosen from the Cruze is likely from the direct-injection engine small family of the GM and one of them is likely to be coupled with another new to be seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Additionally a manual six speed and a conventional six-speed automatic will be offer with the Chevy Cruze. With its improved aerodynamics and the lower curb weight the Cruze is expected to save 20% of fuel than what it is with the current models.
