Nissan Primera belongs to the car stock of class D. it is produced with a body of sedan, hatchback and wagon.
In 1990 the model Bluebird was replaced with a new model that was called as the Nissan Primera in the Europe. The assembly was established at the factory in the UK, where before the previous model Bluebird was produced. The car has received a front-wheel drive and a 5-speed manual gearbox (in some versions there was available a 4-step "automatic machine"). There were three power units: carburetor 1.6 l, as well as injection 1.8 l and 2 l. in the line of engines. The 2-l. diesel engine came in 1992.
The second generation of this van appeared at the end of 1995 in Japan and in the autumn of 1996 in Europe. As before the van was offered with petrol engines 1.6, 2-l. and 2-l. diesel engine and was manufactured in three bodies. Sedans with engine 1.8 and 2 l. were sold only in Japan. The hatchback was only available with a 2-l. petrol engine in combination with 4-step "automatic" and began to sell in November 1997. They offered also the cars with "automatic" CVT transmission, 6-speed stage in the version of the M6 for the Japanese market. In the United States Primera was sold under the name of infiniti G20.
In 2002, Nissan introduced the third generation of the Primera (P12). The car has also been available in Europe with the engine 2 l. and in Japan with the 2.0/2.5 l. (the latter was not available in Europe). In 2004, it was introduced the re-designed interior decoration of the interior (new chromium-plated handles and a new type of devices on the torpedo, hidden behind the dark glass), as well as a new color ("coffee with milk"). The car was manufactured with the body of a sedan, and since 2006 with hatchback. Due to the fall in sales in 2007 in the UK the car was taken out of production.
